Your domain, website and email are spread across vendors nobody remembers choosing, and the person who set it up has left.
DNS moves are mostly a records problem and an access problem, and the access problem is usually the hard one. The technical part is an afternoon; recovering control of a domain registered by someone who left in 2019 can take longer.
Nothing gets changed until the current state is written down and the accounts are genuinely yours.
